Increasing GO Service on the Kitchener Line

Our government is delivering more GO service for riders in Waterloo Region.

Starting April 27, GO train service on the Kitchener Line will increase with two new weekday express trips between Kitchener GO and Union Station, making it easier for people to get to work, school and appointments.

An additional eastbound afternoon trip from Kitchener GO to Union Station will depart at 3:43pm and arrive at 5:17pm.

A new westbound morning trip from Union Station will depart at 8:49am and arrive in Kitchener at 10:26am.

These trains will not stop at Acton, Georgetown, Malton, Etobicoke North, Weston or Mount Dennis GO stations.

Starting April 25, we are also adding new bus stops:

  • Route 17 will stop in Kitchener at Victoria St. at Lackner Blvd and in Waterloo at University Ave. at Weber St.
  • Route 30 will stop in Waterloo and University Ave. At Weber St.

Additionally beginning on April 27, schedules are adjusting to better reflect actual travel times across our entire network on all lines. Some trips will depart up to two minutes earlier or later, depending on the station you are departing from. Be sure to check schedules before you travel.

This is another step in our government’s plan to fight gridlock and connect more people to jobs and housing.
